2011 Regional Management Committee visits Fleetwood Farms Site
On Saturday September 12th, the 2011 Regional Management Committee travelled to London, Ontario to conduct an onsite visit of Steve Plunkett’s Fleetwood Farms – the location where we will host the meet - and a tour of the proposed host hotel. The Committee also met representatives from Corvettes of Western Ontario – namely, Jan & Barry Griffith and Jon Bol who will be assisting us in event planning. We thank them and Steve for taking time out of their weekend to meet us.
Many of you may already know that Steve hosts the annual “Fleetwood Country Cruize-in” charity event on the 1st weekend of every June. Steve’s cruise draws 1,000+ cars and many well known celebrities from the world of cars and entertainment. Steve has a stunning collection of vintage Cadillacs, some of which are stored in a just-finished Auto Saloon that will simply blow you away. The Fleetwood Farms grounds are plentiful, inviting and lush with a stunningly landscaped portion where 200+ cars come once a week during the summer for Thursday night cruises. The Regional Management Committee came away very pleased with both visits and with a better vision as to how this event will “look and feel”.
